Impulse #52
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeA scheming villain in green takes center stage on this September 1999 cover, hands clasped with cool menace while two very different scenes play out behind him — a chaotic brawl with a hulking, wild-haired bruiser on one side, and a glowing green energy burst sending figures flying on the other. The title "Double Jeopardy!" says it all: Impulse appears to be caught between two simultaneous threats, a fun high-stakes setup rendered with sharp, kinetic energy by cover penciler Ethan Van Sciver and inker Wayne Faucher. With Todd DeZago and Ethan Van Sciver also handling the interior story "Tumbling Down," this issue delivers a great blend of humor and genuine peril that made Impulse one of DC's most entertaining reads of the late '90s.
