Impulse #21

The title "A Legion of Impulses" says it all — Impulse's cover for issue #21 (January 1997) is a wonderfully chaotic swirl of multiple identical Bart Allen figures tumbling, grabbing, and colliding with one another across the page, with at least one other hero caught up in the scramble. Humberto Ramos and Wayne Faucher bring their kinetic, loose-limbed style to the pile-up, perfectly capturing the anything-can-happen energy that made this series such a delight. Mark Waid's "A Little Knowledge" promises the kind of fast-paced, good-humored adventure that fits right at home in a comic about the speedster who runs before he thinks.
