I, Vampire #8

Part of DC's New 52 line, I, Vampire #8 wraps up the "Rise of the Vampires" arc with the dramatically titled "Resurrection" chapter — and the cover by Andrea Sorrentino makes the stakes feel genuinely enormous. A central vampire figure erupts upward, arms spread wide amid shattering darkness and bursts of golden light, while three other figures reach outward around him in various states of shock and transformation. Joshua Hale Fialkov and Sorrentino have crafted a series with real gothic atmosphere, and this concluding chapter looks like a fitting payoff.
