Hyde Street #9

The surgical horror of Hyde Street reaches a fever pitch with issue #9, subtitled "The Strange Life and Surgical Crimes of Doctor Ego." Ivan Reis and Danny Miki's cover depicts a blood-soaked operating room where a leering, grotesquely grinning figure looms over a restrained victim beneath harsh surgical lights, a scalpel in hand and a speech bubble reading "You said you wanted me to give you a prettier smile." Geoff Johns and Francis Portela's series continues to deliver genuinely unsettling character work, and this installment looks to be one of its most viscerally intense chapters yet.
