When Wilma Witch returns home exhausted from shopping, her faithful broom Broomy volunteers to tackle all the housework—and then some, attacking chores with surprising enthusiasm and energy. As the industrious broom takes on kitchen cleaning, yard work, and pest control, Wilma begins to wonder just what's gotten into her magical helper, especially when Broomy's reward request leads to a surprising discovery in the woods.

When a young artist named Hunk shows Cecil his portrait of his dinosaur, Cecil immediately questions why the painting looks nothing like the real thing. Hunk launches into an elaborate explanation of artistic vision and creative choices—each excuse more inventive than the last—as he tries to convince Cecil that his wildly exaggerated portrait is actually a masterpiece. By the time Hunk finishes defending his work, he discovers that others have come to admire it, only to have a surprising realization about what real artistic suffering actually means.
