This issue contains two main stories. The first follows Hunk, a prehistoric boy who attempts to acquire a bone and a chariot, pursuing sunflowers across a river and flying from a mountain before being chased away by giants. The second story features a witch who agrees to help a banana character gather items for the afternoon, leading her to a "Brooms' Club House" where she discovers broomsticks being used for recreation rather than work, concluding with her philosophical acceptance of this unconventional use of broomsticks.

The Power of Love
20 pp · Humor, Children

Hunk tries to cure his sick dinosaur friend by finding sunflowers, but must cross a raging river to reach them. Along the way, he attempts several daring methods—swinging on a vine, pole-vaulting, and even trying to fly—each ending in a splash. When all else fails, he turns to a mysterious inventor offering a magic elixir that promises flight, leading to a surprising and humorous twist.

Busy Broom

Wilma WitchBroomy

Wilma Witch tasks her energetic broom, Broomy, with cleaning the house, only to be amazed by how enthusiastically it takes on every chore — from sweeping to fighting a grass fire and even planting seeds. As Broomy continues to work with relentless vigor, Wilma finally agrees to let it have some freedom, leading to a surprising discovery of Broomy at a secret gathering of other brooms.

Art Appreciation
5 pp · Humor, Children
Cecil

Hunk paints a wildly imaginative portrait of his dinosaur, insisting his artistic vision captures her true essence—even as Cecil points out the obvious differences. When Cecil finally appreciates the absurdly exaggerated result, Hunk declares himself a misunderstood genius, embracing the chaos and quirks that made the painting possible.
