Who is Squarro the Squirrel?
A charming little denizen of Charlton Comics' Silver Age funny-animal world, Squarro the Squirrel first scampered onto the page in Hunk #2 back in 1961, brought to life by the prolific Joe Gill and artist Jon D'Agostino. Squarro keeps delightful company — sharing adventures with the likes of Raro the Rabbit, Froggo the Frog, and Polly the Pigeon — and even crossed over into the pages of Atomic Mouse, Charlton's beloved flagship funny-animal title. With only a handful of appearances to their name, Squarro is a genuine rarity for collectors with a soft spot for the offbeat, cheerful corners of Silver Age comics that Charlton did so endearingly well.
