About the series
In the early 1960s, Charlton Comics introduced Hunk, a lighthearted, 11-issue series centered on a strong but good-natured caveman and his colorful prehistoric companions, including Raro the Rabbit and Polly the Pigeon. Written primarily by Joe Gill and Jon D'Agostino, with D'Agostino also handling the artwork, the strip delivered gentle, comedic adventures in a Stone Age setting. A charming artifact of the Silver Age, Hunk stands as a playful, all-ages romp from a publisher known for its low-cost, high-volume output.
