While Luke Cage was in prison getting super powers thanks to scientific experimentation, the world has changed as Magneto has taken over and mutants rule. Now that Cage is out, he tracks down the childhood friend who put him behind bars and takes him down. Cage then gathers a group of heroes to resist the mutants and fight for human rights. The locals have dubbed them Avengers. Misty Knight is asked to infiltrate the group and help bring them down.
