This January 2013 Vertigo issue brings Simon Bisley's painterly cover artistry to bear on a striking close-up of a weathered, cigarette-smoking John Constantine, his expression world-weary and unreadable as smoke curls away into the ether. Draped across him is a striking blue-skinned, blue-haired fae-like figure, while a skull lurks ominously in the shadowy background — the kind of supernatural company that follows Constantine everywhere. Peter Milligan, Giuseppe Camuncoli, and Stefano Landini carry the "Curse of the Constantines" arc into its fifth chapter, promising more of the dark, mature storytelling that made Hellblazer a cornerstone of Vertigo's line.
