John Constantine dominates this April 2012 Vertigo cover — battered, cigarette in lips, flicking open a lighter whose flame casts an eerie glow across his bruised face — while a horned demonic figure looms in the darkness behind him, red eyes blazing. The pairing of Constantine's weary defiance with that lurking supernatural menace sets an appropriately grim mood for "Another Season in Hell – Part Two: The Lower Depths," written by Peter Milligan with interior art by Giuseppe Camuncoli and Stefano Landini. Simon Bisley's painted cover work gives the whole thing a visceral, almost cinematic intensity that fans of the series will find hard to put down.
