Peter Milligan, Giuseppe Camuncoli, and Stefano Landini bring the "Hooked" arc to its conclusion with this 2009 Vertigo issue, featuring a cover painted by Simon Bisley that is equal parts haunting and tender. Constantine — trenchcoat, cigarette, and all — cradles a red-haired woman who has emerged from a broken coffin in a moonlit graveyard, a distant shadowy figure lurking among the headstones behind them. It's a beautifully unsettling image that perfectly captures the atmosphere of dread and intimacy that has always defined Hellblazer at its best.
