A trench-coated John Constantine stands on a rocky precipice, his back to us, conjuring a crackling arc of magic against a hellscape of fire, billowing smoke, and erupting volcanoes — while a crush of tormented souls reaches up from below in desperate anguish. It's a striking, melancholy sendoff for this run, with cover art by Tim Seeley capturing Constantine's solitary defiance against truly apocalyptic odds. "The Good Old Days, Conclusion" bows out in issue #24 with the kind of bleak, fiery grandeur that has always suited DC's most cynical occult antihero.
