Hellblazer #230
John Constantine fills this Vertigo issue with brooding intensity — cigarette in hand, smoke curling around him, a glowing occult symbol materializing nearby as he fixes the viewer with a steady, unsettling gaze. Lee Bermejo's painterly cover work renders Constantine in stark monochrome, giving the whole image a noir weight that feels perfectly suited to a story kicking off with "In at the Deep End Part One." Andy Diggle and Leonardo Manco bring their talents to this May 2007 chapter, promising the kind of dark, grounded supernatural storytelling that has always made Hellblazer essential reading.
