Hellblazer #225
Denise Mina and Leonardo Manco's Hellblazer run continues with issue #225, and Lee Bermejo's painterly cover sets the mood perfectly — a haggard John Constantine sits on the edge of a bed, head in hands, cigarette smoke curling upward into an unsettling skull-like shape that looms over him like a bad conscience made visible. It's a quietly haunting image that captures Constantine at his most world-weary, the supernatural pressing in even in a moment of private exhaustion. "The Red Right Hand Chapter 2" promises more of the gritty, psychologically charged storytelling that made this 2006 Vertigo era so compelling.
