Harley Quinn x Elvira #6
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeHarley Quinn X Elvira #6 carries real historical weight as the capstone of the first-ever full crossover series between DC Comics and Dynamite Entertainment featuring these two characters — a publishing collaboration that required a three-way agreement between DC, Dynamite, and Cassandra Peterson's Queen 'B' Productions. As the series finale, it closes out what is also a reunion arc: the first extended Harley Quinn project since writers Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti's defining five-year solo run at DC (2013–2018), which shaped the character's modern personality, voice, and mainstream cultural footprint. The issue also marks the conclusion of Elvira's most prominent DC-adjacent comic appearance since her earliest comics work with that publisher in the 1980s, threading together four decades of the character's four-color history. In storytelling terms, #6 resolves both protagonists' overarching plot threads — Harley's restlessness and Elvira's imperiled TV show — in a single Coney Island set-piece, demonstrating how a horror-comedy road-trip structure can carry genuine character stakes across a limited series format.

The series was announced in February 2025 at the ComicPro retail event, with DC reportedly the originating party who suggested the crossover concept to Dynamite. Both publishers agreed from the outset that Conner and Palmiotti — the duo most identified with Harley's comic-book renaissance — were the only writers for the job, and Cassandra Peterson personally approved the creative team before any story details were publicly shared. Interior artist Juan Samu, who had previously worked on Elvira's solo Dynamite titles including Elvira Meets Vincent Price, was brought aboard to handle the bulk of sequential pages, with Conner herself contributing story pages on selected issues. The series launched in October 2025 and ran six issues, concluding with #6 on April 29, 2026.
Trivia · 8 facts
- Issue #6 is the series finale of the six-issue limited series Harley Quinn X Elvira, published April 29, 2026, by Dynamite Entertainment in partnership with DC Comics and Queen 'B' Productions.
- Written by Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti, with interior art by Juan Samu; Conner also contributed selected interior story pages and painted the primary Cover A.
- The issue resolves the series' central story engine — Harley and Elvira's cross-country road trip — at Coney Island, where the duo attempts to launch 'Fool-O-Ween,' a self-invented holiday mashup of Halloween and April Fools' Day.
- Conner and Palmiotti's prior Harley Quinn run at DC spanned 2013 to 2018; this series marks their first return to the character in an extended, numbered comic format since that run ended.
- Elvira's comics history began with DC in the 1980s (Elvira's House of Mystery) before migrating to Claypool Comics for nearly 15 years, then to Dynamite; this crossover reunites the character with DC's publishing orbit for the first time in that long stretch.
- The issue shipped with a substantial variant cover program: Cover A (Amanda Conner 'Party'), Cover B (Chad Hardin), Cover C (Joseph Michael Linsner), Cover D (Ben Caldwell), plus retailer incentive and virgin editions, a metal premium cover, and a limited mystery blind-bag variant.
- The series' creative agreement was a three-party deal among DC Comics, Dynamite Entertainment, and Cassandra Peterson's Queen 'B' Productions — an unusual tri-publisher licensing arrangement for a limited series.
- Interior colorist Walter Pereyra contributed throughout the series run alongside Samu's pencils and inks.
