Against a blood-red backdrop of shattered glass, this 2012 Image installment of Hack/Slash delivers a cover packed with tension — a skull-masked villain lunges from above while Cassie Hack, knife in hand and purple gloves at the ready, stands her ground below alongside a wide-eyed blonde in a cowboy hat. The composition does a great job of putting the threat literally overhead, making the whole scene feel like an ambush mid-shatter. Fans of horror-action comics will find plenty to draw them in here.
