Cassie Hack stands her ground — weapons raised, prosthetic leg planted — while an enormous creature the cover itself gleefully identifies as "Gorillaconda" looms behind her, its massive jaws yawning wide enough to swallow her whole. Tim Seeley's cover art frames the threat with real menace, pairing a hulking gorilla-serpent hybrid against Hack/Slash's scrappy, battle-ready protagonist in a way that's equal parts horror and pulpy fun. Issue #13 leans into its own absurdity with a wink, and the result is one of 2012's more brazenly entertaining covers from Image Comics.
