Book Two of this 1992 DC miniseries finds Guy Gardner — bowl cut and all — locked in a fierce physical struggle with a snarling, wild-haired alien antagonist, chains and heavy weaponry filling the foreground as a vast army of alien warriors looms in the background. Joe Staton's pencils and Josef Rubinstein's inks give the cover a raw, kinetic energy that perfectly captures the high-stakes tension of Gardner's solo adventure.
