Grifter #9

Part of DC's New 52 initiative, Grifter #9 from July 2012 charges forward with the red-masked, dual-pistol-wielding Cole Cash striding out of a wall of fire, guns blazing — flanked by a heavily armed soldier and a sword-bearing woman in green who match his fierce momentum. The cover tagline "Fulfilling His Destiny…" sets a suitably dramatic tone for "This Means War!," written by Rob Liefeld and Frank Tieri with art by Scott Clark and inks by Dave Beaty. It's a kinetic, fiery composition from Liefeld's cover pencils and inks that makes a strong case for this scrappy mercenary's place in the New 52 lineup.
