Grifter #10

The fourth and final chapter of "City of Angels" arrives in March 1996, and Ryan Benjamin and Tom McWeeney's cover sets a beautifully tense mood — Grifter stands with his back to us, gun in hand, reaching up to pull a lone hanging light's chain while bullet-riddled, smoldering red walls loom on either side of him. It's a quietly charged image: one man, one light, and a whole lot of damage surrounding him. Steven T. Seagle, Roy Allan Martinez, and Gerry Alanguilan bring this arc to its conclusion, and the cover promises the kind of gritty, street-level atmosphere this series does so well.
