Green Lantern #34

Part six of "Secret Origin" arrives with a cover by Ivan Reis that puts two Green Lanterns — the pink-skinned Sinestro and a younger Hal Jordan — charging into action against a muscular, fanged red creature, all while a massive, red monstrous face looms ominously in the background. The composition crackles with urgency, floating power rings adding an extra charge to the confrontation. Geoff Johns and Reis were clearly in top form on this 2008 run, making this a satisfying chapter in one of Green Lantern's most celebrated storylines.
