Kyle uses his Ion powers to travel back in time and witness the histories of the various Green Lanterns of Earth. He considers changing the past and preventing Hal from becoming Parallax but is talked out of it by Hal himself. Kyle then tracks down and meets his birth father for the first time and they talk at length about the past. Kyle next makes his way to Oa where he consults with Ganthet and gives up a large portion of his Ion powers to resurrect the Guardians of the Universe, albeit as children. Finally, he returns to Earth where he creates a new Green Lantern costume for himself.
