Green Lantern #129

Green Lantern charges center stage on this 2000 DC cover by Darryl Banks and Andy Smith, his power ring blazing brilliant green as an ensemble of familiar faces surrounds him — Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and a mysterious green-skinned woman look on from above, while two civilians and a menacing red-haired villain wielding an orange-glowing power source loom in the background. It's a lot of DC firepower gathered around one ring-slinger, and the composition makes clear that Kyle Rayner's world is getting complicated fast. Writer Judd Winick's run on the title was known for pushing characters into new emotional territory, and "Something Old, Something New" sounds like exactly the kind of story that delivers on that promise.
