This sixth issue of Dynamite's Kevin Smith–penned Green Hornet series features a striking Alex Ross cover painting that pulls you in immediately — the masked, fedora-wearing Green Hornet crouches in a tense, dramatically lit pose, his hornet medallion gleaming on his chest as vivid swaths of red and gold surge around him. Ross's painterly realism gives the hero a brooding, almost cinematic weight that feels right at home with Smith's crime-drama sensibility. Interior art by Jonathan Lau brings "Wearing o' the Green" to life, making this a solid chapter in one of 2010's more ambitious pulp-hero revivals.
