The story follows Oliver Queen's return from the dead, as he grapples with his resurrection and the changes in his life, while facing a mysterious threat tied to his past. The collection features artwork by Phil Hester and Ande Parks, and includes the introduction of new characters like Mia Dearden.
In "Quiver, Chapter One: The Queen Is Dead (Long Live the Queen)," Green Arrow faces a harrowing test of identity when Batman subjects him to intense scrutiny, presenting irrefutable proof of his own death and a chilling encounter with Parallax. As doubts swirl and the past fractures, both Canary and Roy arrive at Dover’s place searching for Ollie, while a deadly threat emerges at the Queen estate—where the Demon comes calling to finish what was started. Written by Kevin Smith and illustrated by Phil Hester, with inks by Ande Parks, colors by Guy Major, and letters by Sean Konot, this pivotal issue features a cover by Matt Wagner.
In "Quiver, Chapter One: The Queen Is Dead (Long Live the Queen)," a battered but unmistakable bowman returns to Star City, his presence stirring echoes of a past he’s tried to outrun. As Arsenal, Black Canary, and Connor reflect on the life they shared with Ollie, the weight of his absence lingers—especially as the city itself seems to remember him.
In "Quiver, Chapter Two: Long Time No See," Green Arrow grapples with a haunting mission when he intervenes to save an underage prostitute from a corrupt councilman, reigniting his crusade in Star City. With Stanley Dover, the elderly man he once rescued, now helping him rebuild his life and memories, Ollie struggles with a vast gap in his past—knowing nothing of his own death. As Batman starts piecing together the identity of Star City’s new vigilante, the line between hero and ghost grows thinner.
In "Quiver, Chapter Three: The Old Man and the Sea," Ollie grapples with the mystery of his lost years as Mia settles in with him and Stanley to support their youth center. When a routine drug bust takes a dangerous turn, Green Arrow finds himself at odds with the relentless Black Manta.
In "Quiver, Chapter Four: Membership Has Its Privileges," Ollie Queen returns to the Justice League after a brutal encounter with Black Manta, only to find the League's dynamics unsettlingly altered. As Aquaman welcomes him back to the JLA satellite, GA's unease grows—something's off with the faces, the roles, and the way the League moves. When Batman abruptly knocks him out for a deeper scan, and Oracle confirms Ollie's survival to Canary, the line between ally and imposter begins to blur.
In "Quiver, Chapter Five: The Anatomy Lesson," Green Arrow faces a brutal test of identity when Batman subjects him to a grueling interrogation, forcing him to confront the truth behind his resurrection and the eerie evidence of his supposed death—and his brush with Parallax. As Jo and Roy search for Ollie at Dover’s place, the Demon arrives at the Queen estate with one goal: to finish what was started.
In "Quiver, Chapter Six: The Hollow Man," Jason Blood confronts Ollie with a chilling revelation—after a fleeting reunion with Dinah and Roy, he declares the Green Arrow to be a "Hollow," a body stripped of soul. The Demon's judgment is swift and final, leaving no room for doubt as he reduces the hollow hero to dust.
In "Quiver, Chapter Seven: Hard Traveling Heroes," Ollie finds himself in an otherworldly realm after his resurrection, guided through the mysteries of Heaven by the Spectre. As Hal reveals more of this strange afterlife, Ollie is soon face to face with a figure he never expected—Hal, in a form both familiar and profoundly changed.
In "Quiver, Chapter Eight: When Ollie Met Ollie...", a soul-less Green Arrow confronts his past and present in a quiet, charged moment with a version of himself—no easy answers, just hard truths about loss and what it means to come back. As the weight of resurrection settles, a sudden clash with Stanley interrupts the moment, while Connor grapples with a haunting vision of his father.
In *Quiver, Chapter Nine: The Weird World of Stanley and His Monster*, Stanley Dover’s dark obsession with immortality takes a horrifying turn when he unleashes a demon bound to his grandson, setting off a deadly chain of murders to lure it forth. Now holding Oliver and Mia captive, he prepares a ritual to claim Oliver’s soulless body, while a Blood Seal traps the house and Connor Hawke races to save his father before the ritual completes.
In "Quiver, Chapter Ten: Father's Day," Ollie reconnects with his son Connor in a moment of unexpected unity, facing a threat that forces them to stand together. As they battle demons alongside Stanley's Monster, the bond between father and son is tested in ways neither expected.
