“Jaguar Moon”

Part of DC's 1995 "Underworld Unleashed" crossover event, this issue — titled "Jaguar Moon" — promises something decidedly wild. Damaggio and Campanella's cover puts that threat front and center: a massive, snarling jaguar lunges at Green Arrow, who braces himself mid-combat on what appears to be an ancient stone structure, the fiery red background hinting at something far more sinister lurking in the shadows behind them. Writer Chuck Dixon clearly had the Emerald Archer facing a foe with serious bite, and the cover makes a convincing case that this is one of the more memorable stops in the crossover's tour of DC's darker corners.
