Ranch hands Lefty and Hal see Godzilla. Heading back to the ranch they tell John Hawks whose cattle have been mysteriously disappearing. Assuming Godzilla is responsible, Lefty suggests that all the local cowboys get together and capture Godzilla themselves. The reason Lefty suggests this is because he has been secretly working for rival ranch owner and cattle rustler Bill Ford. Ford has been stealing Hawks' cattle and has been keeping them in a canyon. This roundup will assure that nobody finds the cattle. That night Godzilla shows up and causes a stampede.
