In the previous issue Hal had roped Godzilla's tail and planted dynamite causing Godzilla to come after him and away from the cattle stampede. Godzilla destroys Hawks' ranch in the process. Furious, Hawks puts up the reward money for anyone who can rope Godzilla and capture him. The cowboys engage Godzilla in a roundup. One cowboy even rides Godzilla's head as a bucking bronco. Annoyed, Godzilla heads towards the canyon where all the stolen cattle is hidden. Ultimately Fords cattle rustling is exposed, his men are defeated in a shootout with the other cowboys, and Ford gets killed by Godzilla.
