Gideon Falls #3

Andrea Sorrentino's cover for issue #3 melds a woman's face with a bird's-eye map of a city, the streets and buildings rendered in smoldering reds and deep blacks so that the town itself seems to breathe with an unsettling life. Dave Stewart's color work gives the whole image a feverish, ember-lit glow that perfectly suits the series' brooding atmosphere. Jeff Lemire and Sorrentino's Gideon Falls continues to be one of 2018's most visually daring horror books, and this chapter, "The Faller of Trees," looks every bit as haunting as that promises.
