“Do Be Afraid of the Dark!”

The Spirit of Vengeance is absolutely living up to his name on this cover by Javier Saltares, which puts Ghost Rider — flaming skull blazing, hellfire motorcycle roaring beneath him — right in the thick of a chaotic brawl with a gang of armed thugs bearing a "Cypress Pool Jokers" jacket. Bullets spark off the Spirit of Vengeance as he hurls one attacker skyward while the rest scramble and open fire, making it instantly clear that this crew picked the wrong enemy. Howard Mackie and Saltares were already delivering high-energy supernatural action in 1990, and this second issue promises more of the same gritty, hell-born fury.
