“The Deal”

Mephisto dominates this November 1991 cover in terrifying fashion — the lord of Hell's enormous horned face fills the image with a wide, fang-filled grin, while Ghost Rider's flaming skull glows defiantly at his right and two other figures (one notably green and powerfully built) are swept up in his clawed grasp. The ominous cover copy — "At the hands of Mephisto… Suicide is Born!" — sets a genuinely unsettling tone for "The Deal" within. Mark Texeira's cover art is bold and visceral, making this a striking entry in the series' early run.
