Charlton's Ghost Manor #10 (1973) dares you to step inside with a cover by Steve Ditko that lays out a chilling domestic drama in vivid panels — a man and a gun-wielding woman locked in sudden confrontation, a mysterious disappearance rendered in eerie shadows, and then a ghostly green figure looming in the night outside a doorway as a terrified woman recoils. The progression of images, captioned "Sudden… Flight and Disappearance… Then One Night — Reconciliation!", promises a story that twists the ordinary into something genuinely unsettling.
