“Don't Wait Up...”

In "Don't Wait Up...", Emma Frost takes the younger mutants—Jubilee, M, Synch, and Husk—under her wing at her Canadian retreat, shielding them from the psychic fallout of the Onslaught conflict. With the Toad overstaying his welcome and trying to take charge, tensions simmer until Banshee and Sasquatch arrive, only to find the storm already passed. Written by Lobdell and illustrated by Bachalo, with inks by Buckingham and colors by The Bucce and Malibu, this issue captures a rare moment of quiet before the next wave of chaos. The cover, by Bachalo and Buckingham, reflects the uneasy calm of the moment.

Mentally effected by the distant war being waged with Onslaught, Emma has brought Jubilee, M, Synch and Husk to her Canadian home for their safety and is playing den mother to the kids. Unfortunately, the Toad has been crashing at the place and tries to assert his authority as ruler of the roost. Banshee gets Sasquatch to help him track down Emma and the kids but they arrive after the fireworks (and mind control episode) have already concluded.
