Part of Marvel's Regenesis reshuffling, this 2012 entry in the series drops Hope's squad into the thick of a fierce, crackling confrontation — the cover by Ibraim Roberson packs in a red-haired Hope wielding a rifle, a blue-skinned teammate lunging from above, Storm with her signature white hair commanding the upper right, and Magneto in his helmet bracing for impact, all against a backdrop of lightning and flame. Looming at the bottom are two hulking, monstrous figures that make the threat feel genuinely dire. James Asmus scripts with Roberson on art and Jim Charalampidis bringing vivid, storm-lit color to every punishing moment.
