Geiger #4
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeGeiger (2024) #4 is a propulsive, action-driven chapter in the second volume of Geoff Johns and Gary Frank's creator-owned post-nuclear saga — the first ongoing series for the character after the original 2021 miniseries and the Geiger: Ground Zero prequel. Its narrative significance lies in escalating the Electrician arc to its breaking point: Geiger and Nate the Nuclear Knight fight through the largest Organ People horde depicted in the series to that point, setting up the climactic confrontation resolved in issue #5. As part of Ghost Machine's 'The Unnamed' shared universe, the issue is a building block in one of the most ambitious creator-owned shared-world projects in modern independent comics. Key Collector classifies it as a non-key, and no first appearances are recorded in it — its weight is dramatic and structural rather than debut-based.

The 2024 Geiger ongoing launched in April of that year as the flagship title of Ghost Machine's 'The Unnamed' shared universe, itself published through Image Comics. Ghost Machine — co-founded by Geoff Johns, Gary Frank, Brad Anderson, and others — was announced at New York Comic Con in October 2023 and was explicitly designed as a creator-owned, creator-operated venture where participants co-own their characters and share in all publishing and media revenues. The second volume of Geiger (the series in which this issue appears) grew directly out of the two-issue Geiger: Ground Zero prequel (November–December 2023), which served as Ghost Machine's inaugural publication. Issue #4, shipped July 10, 2024, carries the same core creative team of writer Geoff Johns, artist Gary Frank, and colorist Brad Anderson, with lettering by Rob Leigh.
