The Joes have been fully reinstated, and they rescue Chuckles, held captive by Cobra agents hiding out in the underground Cobra headquarters's remains located in the former town of Springfield. Once freed, he's taken back to the recently reactivated Pit III, the Joes' underground headquarters, to question Storm Shadow. The Commander doesn't really care Mindbender knows the Pit III is active again because he wonders what good is that knowledge if they can't get in, but Baroness tells him the recently brainwashed Snake-eyes can, and the Commander agrees to that plan.
