Jan 1994 · Marvel · 1.25 USD; 1.60 CAD; 0.95 GBP
“Snake-Eyes: The Tale Untold!”

In "Snake-Eyes: The Tale Untold!", the G.I. Joe team splits up after their mission in Millville, with one group heading to Washington for debriefing on Dr. Biggles-Jones—accompanied by Scarlett and Wild Bill—while the others wait for transport home. As Hawk reflects on their first mission with Stalker, a flashback reveals the pivotal moment when Snake-Eyes insisted the rescue of George Strawhacker go forward despite a helicopter accident, a decision that defined their early bond. Written by Larry Hama and illustrated by William Rosado, with inks by Chip Wallace and colors by Bob Sharen, this issue offers a poignant look at the origins of one of the team’s most enigmatic members. The cover, by William Rosado and Chip Wallace, captures the intensity of that moment in the Joe’s past.

As the Joes leave from Millville (issue #'s 139-142), they split up: One group goes to Washington alongside Scarlett for debriefing about Dr. Biggles-Jones, taken there by Wild Bill, while the others await another transport home. On the way to Washington, Hawk remembers with Stalker when the Joes were on one of their first missions, which was to rescue George Strawhacker from Cobra in the Middle East, but the mission was almost scrubbed because of the helicopter accident that day (issue #26-flashback sequence), but Snake-Eyes wanted the mission to continue with him, which it did successfully.
