G.I. Joe #2
This volume collects issues from the early 2000s revival of G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero, continuing the classic Marvel series with new storylines featuring the ongoing conflict between the G.I. Joe team and Cobra. It includes contributions from writers and artists who worked on the original run, maintaining the military sci-fi tone of the franchise.
In "The Pipeline Ploy!", the G.I. Joe team races to recover a vital cache of missile guidance chips from Cobra, only to be ambushed and captured—leaving Stalker, Gung-Ho, and Breaker to escape while Snake-Eyes, Kwinn, and Dr. Venom are trapped in a collapsing bunker. When the Baroness detonates the base, the surviving Joes vow revenge, setting the stage for a relentless pursuit. Written by Larry Hama and illustrated by Mike Vosburg, with inks by Jon D'Agostino and colors by Glynis Wein, this 2002 Marvel issue features a cover by J. Scott Campbell.
