Fury Max #6

The cover of this sixth issue says it all: a battered, blood-streaked Nick Fury stares down from the top half with cold, unbroken resolve, while the lower half blazes with sharks circling through warm Cuban waters beneath the bold "Bay of Pigs" title treatment — Dave Johnson's design work giving the whole thing a gritty, vintage-ops feel. Garth Ennis, Goran Parlov, and Lee Loughridge continue their unflinching MAX-label take on Fury's Cold War past, and the explicit-content banner feels entirely earned. If you're following this series through 2012, issue #6 keeps the tension wound tight.
