Frontier Western #4
In "Man Trap!", gunslinger Hank Hawke arrives in Tombstone riding a reputation built on fear—until the town’s sheriff calls his bluff in a tense showdown at the saloon. Stan Lee’s sharp storytelling and Joe Maneely’s dynamic art bring the high-stakes standoff to life, revealing how Hawke’s power relied not on skill, but on the intimidation of his legend. John Severin’s cover captures the moment with a gritty, shadowed intensity that sets the tone for the issue’s quiet yet charged climax.

Gunslinger Hank Hawke rides into Tombstone, his reputation riding before him. He bullies his way though town and into a card game in the saloon. The sheriff arrives and tells him to either draw or put up his hands. A stare out between them brings Hawke to submission. The sheriff explains to the onlookers that Hawke traded on his evil reputation and was used to others just giving way, but would back down when challenged.
