The cover of this June 1978 DC issue drops the entire Freedom Fighters team — Uncle Sam in his star-spangled suit, the shadowy Phantom Lady, the armored Robot Man, and several teammates — onto a collapsing roller coaster as explosions erupt around them, promising a wild ride through "The Sideshows of Doom!" Batwoman and Batgirl are prominently called out as special guest-stars along the bottom, their portraits adding extra appeal to an already packed cover penciled by Rich Buckler and inked by Jack Abel.
