This cheerful 1958 Dell one-shot sends Hanna-Barbera's lovable duo — Ruff the cat and Reddy the dog — on a jungle adventure billed as "Scary Safari" in Deepest Africa. Harvey Eisenberg's cover art captures the trio in fine form: Reddy strolling confidently with a blue umbrella and safari hat, Ruff trotting alongside in a bow tie, and an adorable pink baby elephant tagging along through the lush tropical foliage. For a dime, this is a wonderfully warm slice of late-'50s animated-comics charm that fans of the era will find hard to resist.
