“False Witness”

In "False Witness," two unscrupulous men, Jake Collins and Hans Bachus, exploit frontier trust by hiring Indigenous people to ambush settlers and steal their wagons—then reselling the same wagons as new. When a man named Hawkeye can't prove their scheme, he buys the wagons himself and follows the trail into the unknown. Art by Bob Jenney brings the dusty frontier and its moral shadows to life in this 1958 Four Color comic.
