A bandit hijacks a stage, not knowing that a marshal is sleeping inside. The marshal handcuffs himself to the bandit, but the bandit slugs him. He takes his star and pretends to be the marshal and has the unconscious man locked up by Buffalo Bill Jr. When the ruse is found out, Bill and Calamity follow the bandit and his gang to a border crossing called "Redskin Gap".
