Four Color #799

Al Vermeer's cover art captures the gentle, everyday humor that made this series a delight, with Priscilla's wide eyes and tidy green outfit giving the scene real personality. Promising "all brand-new stories," this ten-cent package of wholesome fun is a sweet snapshot of mid-century family comics at their most endearing.

Lester prints up fake passes to the rodeo and sells one to Priscilla for a dime. Her father gives her a real pass and Priscilla realizes she was fooled. Later her friends follow her to the rodeo, expecting her to be bounced at the entrance. When she is admitted with the real pass, the rest of kids think she got in with the fake pass and try to use the fakes themselves, with unhappy results.
