This cheerful 1956 Dell issue brings the beloved newspaper comic strip family to life with a cover scene that's pure domestic mischief. Baby Trixie sits front and center, gleefully painting a red high heel shoe with nail polish — the bottle tipped over beside her, red pooling everywhere, while a small black shoe nearby has already met the same fate. Peering around the doorframe in wide-eyed dismay are Hi and Lois themselves, arriving just a moment too late to stop the carnage.
