Offissa Pupp gets caught in a tree while trying to dislodge its last leaf. Ignatz is part of the volunteer fire department and gets Offissa Pupp down. Ignatz later makes a nuisance of himself by putting out a pile of burning leaves and dousing a fire in a fireplace.
