With the Homestead Act ending the open range, homesteaders are fencing off the grassland. Ingram, the big cattleman, is trying to force the settlers off their land by framing them as cattle rustlers. Dan Mitchell and Tom Leathers have to capture the real rustlers and then lead the settlers in a gunfight against a trainload of 50 gunmen hired by Ingram.
