“Zane Grey's Outlaw Trail”

In "Zane Grey's Outlaw Trail," Jim Cleve, heartbroken after being spurned by Joan Randle, joins Jack Kells' outlaw gang, the Border Legion. As Joan follows him and is captured, she must pretend to be Kells' wife while the gang prepares to head to Adler Gulch—now a booming gold rush town on the Idaho border. Written by Gaylord Du Bois and Zane Grey, with art by Everett Kinstler, this 1953 Four Color adventure blends frontier drama and tense deception in a classic Western tale.
