“Superstitious Lady”

In "Superstitious Lady," Rhubarb the cat—secretly heir to a fortune—leads a double life, sneaking out each night to join his feline friends, until a stray shoe knocks him unconscious and steals his memory. When a city-wide search begins for the missing feline, a boy brings a look-alike cat to the Yeagers, hoping to become a bat boy for the Brooklyn team Rhubarb supposedly owns. Drawn with playful charm by Don Gunn, this 1953 Four Color adventure blends whimsy and mystery in a tale where even the most ordinary cats might be hiding extraordinary secrets.
